In the Season 3 Episode 17, Bender is scared that once he is dead, no one will ever recall him, so when the crew is trapped on the Osiris 4 Planet, he takes it as an opportunity to become immortal. So, he pretends to be the new pharaoh of the planet and dispenses instructions to build a monumental statue of him and soon gets crazy with the power he now has.
